The FOI Foundation of Texas state conference takes place Thursday, Sept. 17, 2015, at the Hyatt Regency in Austin from 8:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The theme is “Transparency: Talk vs. Practice.” We’ll feature sessions on attempted ethics reforms in Texas and newly passed open government laws plus an interview with UT System Regent Wallace Hall on his university records requests. The luncheon keynote speaker is Mark K. Updegrove, director of the LBJ Presidential Library.
