Its website functions as a clearinghouse for story ideas and resources on journalistic methods, and provides a critical access point for thousands of reporting tip sheets, on-the-road training, and watchdog workshops.

National Freedom of Information Coalition
A forum for the conversation about open government, the National Freedom of Information Coalition is housed at the Donald W. Reynolds Journalism Institute at the University of Missouri, where a team of open-government experts provides support to state organizations, hosts conferences to encourage the debate, and circulates both news items and educational materials revolving around questions of open government.

OpenTheGovernment.org
Openthegovernment.org is a coalition of more than 80 organizations that promotes government accountability and access on the federal level. Its website catalogs activities toward that end, in addition to coalescing media coverage of FOIA activities across the nation.

Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press
The Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press endeavors to protect the privileges of free speech and access that have historically fostered a rich journalistic heritage in the U.S. To that end, RCFP provides support to journalists through a legal hotline, database of amicus briefs and other statements of support, and other publications and resources.
